If your videos are being shared online, on social media, or distributed to a large audience, one of the biggest concerns would be if someone took your video and claimed it as their own. The best solution would be to add a watermark to the video.

Download and install VideoPad Video Editor. Follow the installation instructions and then launch the program on your computer to begin editing.

Click the Add File(s) icon in the main toolbar to import your video files. Alternatively, you can drag and drop your video files directly into the VideoPad interface. Then, drag the video into the timeline track below it.

Click the Add File(s) icon in the main toolbar again to import the image or logo that you want to use as the watermark, into the VideoPad media bin. Similarly, drag and drop your images, photos and logos directly into VideoPad. Once added, drag the basic watermark image onto an overlay track below it.

Click and drag either end of the image clip to change the length of the video watermark in relation to your video length.

Select the image overlay and in the Sequence Preview panel, drag the watermark image to position it on the video. To resize the watermark, select the image and adjust the scale value. To make the watermark transparent, navigate to the Video Effects button, and select the Transparency effect. Adjust the opacity percentage accordingly to make the image partially transparent.
Use the other effects and tools available to further edit your watermark. For more advanced image watermark editing and to create a custom image watermark, check out our PhotoPad Image Editing Software.

Once you have finished editing the rest of the video, click Export Video from the toolbar and select one of the many export options including direct upload to YouTube, Vimeo, Google Drive, etc, or save your new video with a watermark using one of the many output formats.
