How can I create a slideshow by editing a portion of the clip

Right click on a video file in the media list, or a video clip in the sequence, and select Adjust Clip Duration. You can then adjust the In Point (red) or Out Point (blue) to choose the region of the clip that you want to keep by doing one of the following:

• Drag the red or blue markers on the timeline.
• Click on the timeline to change the current position then click on the red or blue flag button.
• Click on the In Point or Output Point numerical values and type in a new position.
