Why can't I screen record on some streaming services?

You cannot screen record streaming services such as iTunes, Netflix, Amazon Prime, and other streaming services because they are protected by Digital Rights Management (DRM) software. These DRM systems are designed to prevent unauthorized copying or distribution of the content. Screen recording tools may not work on these streaming services because the DRM systems detect the recording attempt and block it, resulting in a black screen in the recorded video.
