What can I do if Prism can't convert my video file, or if the resulting file is played incorrectly?

Try adjusting your settings to the following and converting the file again.

1. Click the Options button on the toolbar
2. Go to the Conversions tab
3. Under Decoder Options at the bottom of the window, select the checkbox for Use FFMPEG decoder
4. Click OK to save the settings

For .avi files, make sure that the source file is playing accurately in Windows Media Player. If it is not, try the following.

1. Open the source file in Prism
2. In the Other Information field, you will see a Codec name
3. Download and install this codec
4. Try the conversion again
